Team for Kids Ambassadors
Team for Kids is NYRR’s charity running team, made up of a committed group of adult runners from around the world who add meaning to their miles by raising funds for NYRR's Youth and Community Services programs while training for major endurance events. These funds go to free youth running and fitness programs for kids who would otherwise have little or no access to regular physical activity. Team for Kids Ambassadors are a group of notable and professional runners who embody NYRR's mission to help and inspire people through running. Through participation in NYRR youth and community events, including visits with Rising New York Road Runners programs—NYRR’s enhanced free youth fitness program—free shoe distribution/donation events with youth runners across New York City at the NYRR RUNCENTER featuring the NB Run Hub, participating in special events and initiatives, and running and training as a representative of Team for Kids. Team for Kids Ambassadors are making a positive impact on the next generation of runners.
Meb Keflezighi, Team for Kids Ambassador & Special Advisor
Marathon legend Meb Keflezighi, the only athlete ever to win the New York City Marathon, the Boston Marathon, and an Olympic medal, has partnered with NYRR and will serve as Ambassador & Special Advisor to its charity running team, NYRR Team for Kids. In his new role Meb will team up with adult runners to support Team for Kids’ efforts to build a happier, healthier future for the next generation of runners and advise NYRR on its ongoing mission to help and inspire people through running.

Retired New York Giants Running Back and co-host of Tiki and Tierney on CBS Sports Radio, Tiki Barber was among the nearly 2,400 Team for Kids finishers at the 2017 Airbnb Brooklyn Half.

Elizabeth Falkner, Chef, TV Personality and author, completed her 1st marathon as a part of Team for Kids at the 2016 TCS New York City Marathon. Prior to the race Chef Falkner teamed up with fellow Ambassador George Mendes to prepare a special menu for the annual Night of Champions event at the TCS New York City Marathon Pavilion.

Shortly after announcing she'd be back to run the 2017 TCS New York City Marathon for the first time since her second-place finish in 2010, four-time Olympian Shalane Flanagan led the participants of NYRR Run for the Future to the finish line of their first-ever 5K, at the 2017 Percy Sutton Harlem 5K. The 2017 TCS New York City Marathon will be Shalane's first race competing as a Team for Kids Ambassador.
Certified Broadcast Meteorologist for WABC Channel 7 in New YorK City, Amy Freeze greeted at the finish line of the Media Mile at the 5th Avenue Mile by fellow Team for Kids Ambassador and professional runner Meb Keflezighi.
Prior to returning to the United Airlines NYC Half in 2018, Four-time Paralympic medalist Josh George donated two racing chairs to the participants of NYRR's Youth Wheelchair Training Program.
American long-distance runner and two-time Olympian, Molly Huddle paced the participants of the 2016 Girls' Run at the NYRR New York Mini 10K. Molly returned to New York in November to represent Team for Kids in her debut marathon at the 2016 TCS New York City Marathon where she finished as the top American and third overall.
International fashion model, designer and body activist, Candice Huffine shared her running story with participants and alumni of the NYRR Run for the Future program before joining the alumni in the 2017 NYRR R-U-N 5K.

17-time Paralympic medalist and five-time New York City Marathon Champion, Tatyana McFadden teaches Rising New York Road Runners how to run in a racing chair during a school visit in New York City following her performance at the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games. Tatyana's win at the 2015 TCS New York City Marathon made her the first person to win the race as a Team for Kids Ambassador.

MLB Network Sportscaster Sam Ryan finishes TCS Run with champions at the TCS New York City Marathon finish line hand-in-hand with a Rising New York Road Runner.

ABC News Correspondant Mara Schiavocampo joined the 85 young women of NYRR Run for the Future to help pace and encourage them to the finish line of their first 5K at the 2017 Percy Sutton Harlem 5K as a Team for Kids Ambassador.

2017 United Airlines NYC Half runner-up Emily Sisson will return to the 2018 edition of the race as a Team for Kids Ambassador.
American long distance runner Aliphine Tuliamuk will run in her first race as a Team for Kids Ambassador at the 2018 United Airline NYC Half.
Professional Tennis Player Caroline Wozniacki, former world No. 1 receives her 2014 TCS New York City Marathon bib from a group of Rising New York Road Runners. Caroline raised over $80,000 for NYRR's youth and community services programs through her training with Team for Kids.

Former professional rugby league footballer and model Nick Youngquest has run two TCS New York City Marathons with Team for Kids, and this past January joined NYRR and New Balance to distribute running shoes to 500 Rising New York Road Runners at Citi Field.
